The Resurrectionist tells the dual stories of Clara and Roxie as they navigate their male dominated worlds. In the 1890s, Clara disguises herself as a man to become a doctor; in present day, we see Roxie struggling to find her artistic identity as she writes her way through trauma. Both women start to spiral as their feelings meet their goals in unexpected ways; the pair's journeys mirror each other through grief, doubt, love, and making a place for themselves in a world that has not been kind to them. We learn that the past is not so different from the present, and it is not our trauma that defines us, but the ways in which we seek healing.

*Please note that this performance will be presented at the Tank's in-person performance space at 312 W 36th St. All attendees and artists will be required to have two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine. Patrons will also be required to wear masks when not eating or drinking.
