Queer Clown Cabaret

June 18th at 7:00 PM

We’re here, we’re queer, and we are very serious (about silliness). For one night only, experience NYC’s queerest clowns at their most ridiculous. From sexy clown-burlesque to biting social commentary to gender-defying drag to pure unadulterated chaos, there’s something for everyone.

Presented by Butch Mermaid Productions and featuring:

Ann Arky (they/she) is a commie cutie who guarantees to seize hearts AND the means of production. This siren slut is the femme fatale of your nightmares and the villain of your daydreams! Ann Arky centers queer+nonbinary femme fatale gender-fuckery in their performances and cultivates a cosmic aura that celebrates disability and sex work.

Edu Díaz (he/him/él) is a Fulbright-awarded performer, theater producer, and writer from the Canary Islands based in NYC, where he premiered his one-person show 'Fantastic Mr. S' at the United Solo Festival. After many years of taking himself too seriously, Edu wants to turn his volcanic intensity into lightness and silliness as he faces the challenge of being an immigrant in the US.

Gabriela Alter (they/them) is a Polish-American performer based in NYC. Their types of performance range from classical theatre to clown and everything in between. They have done work at The Pit, Broadway Comedy Club (NY Queer Comedy Festival), Greenwich Village Comedy Club, and the Brooklyn Comedy Collective. It is important that you know that they take nothing and everything seriously and that being a silly lil guy is of utmost importance to them.

Lola Broward (she/her) is a clown of many questions. Since arriving in the city in 2021, her mission has been to meet as many people as possible through impromptu interviews. Lola knows how to break the ice, but can she reach the nougaty center of a conversation in 5 minutes? Stay tuned!

Party Shitty ... oh shit, is that today? Damm ok no it's fine, umm I'll just stop by that Party City on 14th and throw something together. Relax, it'll be fine.

Phoenix Fucktoy (they/them) is a silly lively slut, a demonic creature of the night, a bad boy, and a very good girl. Phoenix Fucktoy is a queer and genderqueer burlesque and sideshow performer. Originating in Phoenix, Arizona they now reside in Brooklyn and can be found clowning around all over nyc. They are a proud freak devoted to shock, awe, and your entertainment.

Sloan Brettholtz (she/her) is an actor and clown in NYC. You can see her in sketch shows including Queer Window, Grandma’s Favorites, and GraveDance. She’s very excited to perform for you and if it goes bad, her therapist will get an ear full in the next session.

Sir Cum Sized (he/him) is the ultimate Jewish artiste. The world’s best klezmer musician, according to his mother. The man of your wildest dreams - if those dreams involve a clarinet worn in a harness like a strap-on.

*Please note that this performance will be presented at the Tank's in-person performance space at 312 W 36th St. All attendees and artists will be required to display proof of two doses of an approved covid vaccination before being admitted to the space. Patrons will also be required to wear masks, when not eating or drinking.
