Come learn the basics of circuit bending. All tools, supplies, and toys provided, but we
encourage you to bring your own toys to bend. Any old toys from home or the
thrift shop that make sound will do nicely.

8:00pm Circuit Bending Concert #1 - $7 Admission - All Ages Welcome

1:00pm - 6:00pm A Day at the Circuits - FREE
A day of workshops geared towards children of all ages (yes, even you!).
Circuit bending is 100% safe for kids, and we will have experts here to
teach the basics of circuit bending and help families and kids get started
exploring the insides of those old toys from home(or just use ours). A
great way to spend the day, come learn something about electronic
music and art.
The Church of Craft will be on hand to help turn your newly created
instruments into beautiful arts & crafts projects. We will also be
building a life sized circuit bent arts & crafts robot that everyone can
help decorate.
Appropriate for children ages 6 and up (with parental supervision).
Videos documenting the circuit bending activities of the Topanga
Elementary School Enrichment Program students will be on display.

6:00pm Circuit Bending Workshop with Jason Moore - FREE
Explore the relationship between circuit bent instruments and interactive
computer systems in this in-depth workshop with Jason Moore from
Brown University.

7:00pm An Evening with Reed Ghazala - $10 Admission
REED GHAZALA, in a rare public appearance, will give a talk and slide
show on the history of his discovery of circuit-bending in the mid 1960's.
Reed will also have with him one of the first circuits from this era for visitors
to play in conjunction with Reed, its electricity flowing into Reed, into you,
and back into the circuit to make the sounds. Reed will also be performing
on a custom installation provided by Shalom. Reed will also have signed CDs
as well as the original Secret Garden cassettes (the planet's first Incantor recording)
with him for sale after the talk.
